The course

Twenty-seven holes spread across the Alhaurín valley behind Málaga, with three nines that combine into three distinct full rounds. The terrain is gentler than the cliffside Costa del Sol resorts further west, and the design favours scoring — wide fairways, receptive greens, and a routing that lets a confident mid-handicapper post a number they will text home about. The clubhouse and academy are genuinely good, not afterthoughts.

When to play

Costa del Sol shoulder seasons (October-May) are the sweet spot. February through April peaks for snowbird traffic. Summer plays best before 10:00 and after 17:00. Winter rounds here are reliable — the inland setting drains faster than the coastal courses after rain.

Green fee & value

Mid-tier Costa del Sol pricing with genuine three-nines variety — you can play here three days running without playing the same course twice, which materially improves the per-round value. Multi-round packages exist and are worth asking about directly.

Access & etiquette

Casual handicap policy — visitors of all levels welcome. Standard Spanish dress code. Booking advised at weekends; weekday mornings usually find a slot.

Getting there

Twenty-five minutes from Málaga airport (AGP) via the A-7 inland turnoff. The location pairs well with a Mijas or Fuengirola base — close to the <a href="https://playascerca.com/en/city/fuengirola/" rel="noopener">Costa del Sol beaches at La Cala de Mijas</a> without the Marbella price premium for accommodation.
