The course

Alenda is set inland from the Alicante coast at Monforte del Cid, where the Costa Blanca's beach-and-resort character gives way to citrus groves, vineyards, and the gentler agricultural landscape of the Alicante interior. The course was designed in the early 2000s and the routing makes good use of the rolling inland terrain — generous landing zones, strategic water features on three holes, and greens that read truer than the often-flattering coastal equivalents. This is honest Costa Blanca interior golf, played by locals and a steady stream of European winter visitors who know value when they see it. The clubhouse terrace catches the late-afternoon light over the back nine.

When to play

Costa Blanca interior climate gives Alenda nearly year-round playability — slightly cooler than the coast in winter, slightly warmer in summer. October through May is the comfort peak. February through April peaks for snowbird traffic. Summer rounds before 10:00 only; the inland afternoons are buggy-and-shade work. Winter rounds are reliably playable and the course often drains faster than the coastal equivalents after rainfall. Weekday morning tee sheets walk on easily outside high season.

Green fee & value

Mid-tier Costa Blanca pricing with genuine value — comparable conditioning to the higher-priced coastal courses without the seaside-postcode premium. The course pairs naturally with regional accommodation in the Monforte del Cid / Aspe corridor for multi-day stays. Twilight rates and multi-round packages exist and are worth asking about directly at booking.

Access & etiquette

Casual handicap policy — visitors welcome at all levels. Standard Spanish dress code applies (collared shirt, no denim, soft spikes). Booking is advised at weekends; weekday afternoons in shoulder season usually walk on without difficulty. Buggies are common but the routing walks comfortably for fit players. The driving range is modest but functional.

Getting there

Twenty-five minutes by car from Alicante airport (ALC) via the A-31 inland motorway. Central Alicante is thirty minutes east, Murcia thirty-five south. The course works particularly well as the inland half of a Costa Blanca multi-day itinerary — pair with the coastal resort accommodation at El Campello or San Juan and the <a href="https://playascerca.com/en/region/comunitat-valenciana/" rel="noopener">Playa de San Juan or Playa del Postiguet beaches</a> for the off-course afternoon. The Tabarca island ferry from Santa Pola is forty-five minutes south for an Alicante-specific off-day.
