The course

This Santander-branded course sits on the northern fringe of Madrid, more municipal-spirited than members'-club. The layout rolls across former farmland — wide fairways, generous landing zones, and the kind of strategic mid-iron greens that reward a player who can shape the ball more than one who simply muscles it. It is built for volume, not exclusivity, and that is its charm: turn up, play, leave with handicap intact.

When to play

Madrid's interior climate gives you a long shoulder season — March through early June and late September through November are the sweet spot, with mild mornings and dry, bright afternoons. July and August are playable only at dawn; the meseta heat past 11:00 punishes everyone. Weekday tee sheets thin out fast after Spanish lunch hour (15:00 onward).

Green fee & value

Pricing sits firmly in the accessible end of the Madrid market — this is one of the capital's better value-per-round options, especially for visiting players who want quality turf without paying private-club rates. Access & etiquette

No handicap certificate gate for casual rounds. Dress code is standard Spanish golf: collared shirt, no denim, soft spikes. Booking ahead is sensible at weekends and during corporate-tournament weeks, less critical mid-week.

Getting there

Twenty-five minutes by car from central Madrid via the A-1 motorway, and roughly 15 minutes from Barajas (MAD) airport — making this one of the easiest “land and play” options in Spain for golfers connecting through Madrid. Trains and metro do not reach it; rent a car or use a ride-share. No coastal beach combo, but Madrid's reservoir lakes and Sierra de Guadarrama trails are within an hour.
