The course

Cabell Robinson built Las Colinas into a natural valley above the Orihuela Costa, and the result has been named Spain's best course by golf-press juries more than once. The routing keeps holes in their own corridors — you rarely see another group from your fairway — and the elevation changes are constant without ever feeling forced. Pay attention on the par-5s; they look reachable and aren't.

When to play

Alicante's microclimate is the gentlest in mainland Spain: 300 playable days a year, mild winters, dry shoulder seasons. October through May is high comfort. Summer mornings are golden, summer afternoons are buggy-or-bust. Tee sheets fill fastest in February-April during the European amateur tour migration.

Green fee & value

Premium pricing, and the course earns it. Twilight and shoulder-season rates exist and are worth the patience if you can flex your dates. Stay-and-play through the on-site villas trims the per-round cost.

Access & etiquette

Handicap certificate (28/36) is requested and occasionally checked. Dress code strictly enforced — this is a country club, not a public course. Booking is essential; same-day walk-ons are rare in season.

Getting there

Twenty-five minutes from Alicante airport (ALC), an hour from Murcia (RMU). The Orihuela Costa coastline starts five minutes away — combine your round with the <a href="https://playascerca.com/en/region/comunitat-valenciana/" rel="noopener">Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig or La Zenia beaches</a> for the canonical southeast-Spain day.
